A week of celebration in the heart of Sutherland
Golspie Gala Week is a cherished Highland tradition that brings together the whole community for days of music, sport, pageantry, and family fun in one of Scotland's most beautiful coastal villages.
Nestled beneath Ben Bhraggie and the Sutherland Monument, the village of Golspie comes alive each July with pipe bands parading down the High Street, children racing across the recreation ground, and the sound of ceilidh music drifting from the Sutherland Arms.
From the grand Opening Parade and the crowning of the Gala Queen to the famous Duck Race on the Golspie Burn, every event is steeped in local character and open to all.
Pipe bands, floats, and the crowning of the Gala Queen lead a colourful procession through the village.
